What's New for the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette?

Since 1953 the automotive world has been graced with the presence of the Chevrolet Corvette. For the 2022 model year, Chevy is offering a limited edition appearance package. It's based on the IMSA GTLM championship vehicle, and only 1000 of them have been manufactured. This package offers two different color options, including the Accelerate Yellow hue and Hypersonic Gray. On the traditional Corvette models, three new colors are added to the lineup with a new optional spoiler design. A new fuel pump and fuel injectors are also being added for 2022.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Trims & Features

Three trim levels are available for the 2022 model year. This includes the Corvette 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. It is also available as a coupe or convertible. We prefer the 2LT over the other two trim levels. It's moderately priced, and the design includes standard features such as a head-up display, heated/ventilated seats, wireless charging pad on the center console, a heated steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring technology, and a Bose stereo sound system. You can upgrade any of the trim levels to the Z51 performance package for upgrade performance features.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Horsepower

Chevy has changed up the location of the Corvette's engine for 2022. It's now located just behind the passenger compartment of the interior. The standard engine is still a 6.2-liter V8 engine that provides 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. If you choose the Z51 performance package, your dual-mode performance exhaust and limited-slip rear differential will get you to 495 horsepower. An automatic transmission is the only option for the 2022 Corvette.

The base model of the Corvette doesn't come with any standard driver-assistance features, with the higher trim levels offering a few. Available is blind-spot monitoring technology as well as rear cross-traffic alerts.
