Four companies express interest in completing Xanadu project in Meadowlands

Jon F. Hanson, the former chairman of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority who is now heading up a special governor's commission on the state's gaming and entertainment industry, said his commission plans to make recommendations to the Gov. Christie before Christmas.

And the deal, could involve the Izod Center located next door, according to the Ledger.

The project, which has seen several owners over the years, has been overseen by the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority.

The project is slated to have hundreds of retail shops as well as a 18-screen movie house, the country's largest Ferris wheel, skydiving wind tunnels, a theater and an indoor ski slope.
