I love This beautiful chopper named “Walton”, one of the last weekend’s top 5 winners in the “Freestyle Class” Of the AMD European Championship Of Bike Building in Mainz.
Built in Austria, its platform is a 1972 Norton Commando 850 cc engine and Norton 4-speed transmission housed in a shop hand made frame with a 43-degree rake. Not too fast, but very light (gas tank, rear fender, seat are polished aluminum), it rolls on 2 x 21″ wheels dressed in Avon Speedmaster and brakes via a Grimeca drum brake in front and a sprocket brake in the rear. Shop owners Bernhard Naumann and Martin Lagler fabricated the awesome stainless steel Girder type front end and the exhaust system. A very stylish 70’s era cruise. Blech & Drueber. Very talent Guys! amazing chopper!
I missed this bike at Willies but caught it in Mainz at the AMD European show. Lots of cool stuff there but this bike was what all the buzz was about. It didn’t matter where folks were from this bike was considered head and shoulders above the rest.
Met These Guy’s @ Limpnikie Lot They Were Working On this Fine Machine @ A Friends Shop(Cove Cutoms)Owned An Operated Bye A Veteran. All Week Getting Ready for the Shows, They Were Very Cool People.
Fantastic looking bike, love the style and attention to detail. Oh and props for using a different drivetrain to everyone else.
Now this is something different cool…….love to see customs based on motors other than a harley type v twins….good work.
Did they make the rear sprocket from an old indexer plate ?
